Xavier gets his High School Diploma

A few months ago, we introduced you to Xavier Hilton as he started his internship with the Youth Healing Team. Xavier first came to Hopeworks almost three years ago, with the goal of getting his High School Diploma and an internship. In September, Xaiver achieved his second goal of getting his High school diploma.

 After months of studying and preparing for the HiSET test (An alternative for GED), Xavier passed all five parts of the test including sections on Math, Reading, Writing, History, and Science.

“I was most impressed with how Xavier balanced his Youth Healing Team work schedule with his Adult Basic Skills classes.” Says his supervisor Kate Daugherty.
