Patrick and Rosemary start their careers at Cooper Hospital!

Hopeworks is proud to announce that two longtime Hopeworks youth, Patrick Findelator and Rosemary Irizarry, have joined the staff of Cooper Hospital as part of the innovative Cooper Health Careers Initiative!

The Cooper Health Careers Initiative is a unique partnership designed to help Camden residents enter the field of Medical Coding. After working hard and completing both the training at Hopeworks and an internship in GIS, both Patrick and Rosemary completed a rigorous series of courses at Camden County College to earn their medical coding certificate.

“We are so proud of what Patrick and Rosie have accomplished,” shared Dan Rhoton, Executive Director of Hopeworks Camden. “Patrick and Rosie are yet another example of Camden young people meeting the needs of Camden businesses as they continue to grow.

For Rosie, the opportunity is a great chance to develop her skills in medical coding and earn a sustainable wage to support herself. As Rosie shared, “this job presents an incredible opportunity to work locally, and support myself in a career!”

Of course, Patrick and Rosie are just two of many Hopeworks youth now enjoying sustainable careers thanks to the Cooper Health Careers Initiative!
