Hopeworks Places 10 More Young Professionals in Jobs - just in August!
August may be one of the most popular months for a vacation, but the activity levels were high at Hopeworks in August, with 10 more young professionals placed in jobs - just in August.
Young professionals were hired at a wide range of area companies, including Solar Xchange, Itize, Virtua Hospital, Penn Interactive, Snipes USA, American Water, and others! Placements included jobs in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), social media, development, IT support, and web quality assurance. Thus far this fiscal year, Hopeworks young professionals have been placed in jobs with an average starting wage of $42,574 per year!
“These are not just simple jobs,” shared Dan Rhoton, Executive Director. “Earning jobs this far above a living wage means our young professionals have the opportunity to not just survive, but to thrive and build wealth!”
As Hopeworks moves into prime hiring season in the fall, the whole team is looking forward to partnering with more employers to help provide opportunities and grow our region’s businesses!
