George Hernandez Joins Hopeworks as Alumni Coordinator

Hopeworks is excited to announce the appointment of George Hernandez as Hopeworks new Alumni Coordinator, building and coordinating Hopeworks alumni network to make sure all of Hopeworks youth -- past and present -- have access to the tools they need to achieve their dreams!

George is exceptionally well suited to the role.  As a Hopeworks alumni himself, George has completed the Hopeworks training, interned at the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey, and now holds a second part time position while completing his BA at Rowan University.  In fact, George’s journey at Hopeworks is even featured in the Hopeworks documentary Hope Works Here.  The part time alumni coordinator position is a perfect fit!

“It feels like coming home!” says George, excited about the new role.  In the role, George will be responsible for developing and maintaining an alumni database that tracks contact information and employment and education outcomes, maintaining contact with alumni, ensuring that alumni are represented at key Hopeworks events, and implementing a social media strategy to engage alumni.  In addition, George will coordinate at least 4 marquee alumni events per year to foster alumni networking across a variety of industries.

At the most recent event on Saturday, December 16th, alumni gathered at Waterfront Labs and received coaching from a panel of senior level professionals at the Supercharge Your Resume event!
