Hopeworks Wins $100,000 Impact100 Grant!

On June 4, in front of a crowd of over 400 women and supporters, Hopeworks GIS Intern and Medical Coding Student Nyree Oliver shared her story and asked the members of Philadelphia’s Impact100 for their vote to award Hopeworks one of three $100,000 grants to support our expansion.

It worked! Hopeworks was one of three nonprofits selected for the prestigious $100,000 Core Mission Grant, gaining much needed investment to outfit and grow into our new space and serve more youth than ever before!

Founded in 2008, Impact100 was inspired by a growing trend in women’s collective giving. The simple premise is that a group of women pooling contributions can make a significant philanthropic impact in their community.

Since their inception, Impact100 Philadelphia has grown from 111 members to over 380, and has awarded more than $2 million in grants to local nonprofits.

Hopeworks was honored to join other finalists Taller Puertorriqueño, Philadelphia Orchard Project, Nationalities Service Center, and the Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of the Elderly (CARIE).

Now, with this Core Mission Grant, Hopeworks can continue to expand into our new space and serve more youth than ever before!
