To kick off Philly Tech Week, the Women of The Dream, a mentoring organization for young girls in Camden, NJ hosted its annual STEM conference at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Along with its various STEM sessions and discussions, Hopeworks Youth Training Specialist, Yanlexis Arizaga, and Hopeworks trainee, Chasity Medina created and presented a web design workshop for the girls ranging from 7th through 12th grade.
Organizers of the event said that Yanlexis and Chasity did a wonderful job introducing resumes by having each student create a student resume website utilizing the Wix website platform.
Yanlexis and Chasity were excited to help the girls learn tech skills and emphasized that with their workshop, the participants were not only learning about web design, but creating their personal brand and resume building skills!
