Alumna Caloua  Zhané Joins Hopeworks Board of Directors!

Hopeworks is proud to announce the appointment of Alumna Caloua Zhané to our board of directors!  Caloua came to Hopeworks in the fall of 2017 and quickly completed training.  She moved into an internship in Hopeworks Development and Communications department as a graphic designer and redesigned all of Hopeworks materials during the 2018 rebranding process. Caloua set the standard for this new internship at Hopeworks.

Today, Caloua is a freelance graphic designer and digital marketer who created her own branding agency during her high school years where she works with emerging companies to develop websites, build brand guidelines, and market their business. She has worked with over 50 clients whose industries range from nonprofits to cosmetics.

While continuing her career as a freelance graphic designer, Caloua became a part-time Social Media Manager at Seer Interactive after completing a Digital Marketing internship. She was originally connected with Seer during a trip with Hopeworks to the company’s offices. While supporting the Digital Marketing agency in SEO and analytics, her work impressed the organization enough to hire her as a contractor.

“Caloua is a perfect example of the talented professionals we have at Hopeworks,” shared Dan Rhoton. “As her career continues to grow, we’re honored that she will be joining us on the Board of Directors to help create more opportunities for more local youth.”

Caloua shared, “I’m excited to represent Hopeworks in the biggest way, as a member of their Board of Directors. Hopeworks has completely changed my life and I’m looking forward to helping propel them forward to help more young people. I understand the need for the program and can’t wait to bring my ideas to the organization.
