This February, Hopeworks Web intern Starr will start a new journey -- as a new employee at Capital One’s Developer Academy, earning $75,000 per year as she works for one of the country’s preeminent financial services institutions!

As Starr shared, “I’m feeling proud, excited, shocked, and RELIEVED!! . . .Thank YOU and (all of Hopeworks) for believing in me and reminding me of the power I have. Before starting as a trainee, I had really lost sight of that. But being here, constantly being overwhelmed with GENUINE support, encouragement, and everything else has truly built me back up. So thank you thank you, THANK YOU! For all the work you do.”

After the Developer Academy, Starr will go to Virginia for TDP (Technology Development Program), a 2 year program with Capital One.

Congratulations, Starr, on this well-deserved achievement!
