Angel is a first-generation college graduate who joined Hopeworks to make a pivotal change in direction for his professional journey. He is a Wesleyan University graduate with a Bachelors degree and passion for music. Angel was previously a music journalist and concert organizer and is now moving into a new chapter in life!
He says the most impactful aspects of his Hopeworks experience have been the network of support he has been able to build with participants and mentors. These connections have enriched Angel’s professional life and provided a sense of camaraderie and support that has been instrumental in his journey.

As a music major transitioning from the music industry, I was seeking a fulfilling and stable job. Through the program, I found not only a supportive community of motivated individuals but also a gateway to the tech industry, an area I had always been curious about but had never explored. The opportunities provided by Hopeworks allowed me to learn new skills, discover my passion for technology, and ultimately carve out a rewarding career path.”
