Pecola King named new director of revenue cycle management at Hopeworks

Hopeworks on Wednesday said it appointed Pecola King as its new director of revenue cycle management. An accomplished leader in the field, King brings years of experience in billing, collections, denials management and process automation, as well as a proven track record of exceptional achievements, to the Camden-based nonprofit.

Revenue cycle management is Hopeworks’ newest enterprise, which will join Hopeworks’ existing businesses, including geographic information systems, web design and trauma-informed counseling services. Revenue cycle management is a critical piece of medical coding and refers to the financial process that health care facilities use to manage the administrative and clinical functions associated with claims processing, payment and revenue generation. It encompasses all the steps taken by health care providers to ensure they receive payment for services rendered to patients.
