Leaves are Falling and Jobs are Pouring In for October

October started off great and ended even stronger! From our training rooms constantly growing and thriving, entrepreneurs starting businesses, and interns and trainees transitioning into internships and jobs, it’s been a whirlwind of productivity!

By utilizing a trauma informed approach, our day to day mission is to help grow professional and life skills to propel young adults into living wage jobs. In this month alone, Hopeworks has placed over 13 young professionals in technology, banking, hospitality, and other industries.

Yasmine is just one example. She’s a very talented Manga artist and entrepreneur with a huge social media following of people who admire her work. She joined Hopeworks after completing her undergraduate studies, and in a dark time of uncertainty, compounded with financial instability - something had to change - and it did.

“A few of my friends came to Hopeworks and they all got jobs. Learning new skills like web development, coding, and making business connections have been the most important in developing me as a professional.”

Yasmine and Destine both start new jobs at Bancroft soon as program associates, while Jayson and Brandon will take their tech talents to Holman and Softerware. Jermaine has already started shining his light at Bright Minds Consulting, while Edgar joins Truist as a Universal Banker! Congrats to everyone else who was also offered a job this month!
