Wrapping Up 2024: A Year of Progress, Partnerships, and Possibilities

December has been a month of reflection and celebration at Hopeworks as we wrap up a year filled with growth, achievement, and collaboration. Our young professionals have made incredible strides in December alone, landing impactful roles with organizations such as PCS, the City of Camden, the City of Philadelphia, and the IRS!

As we look ahead to 2025, we’re excited to share some highlights in this newsletter! Be sure to check out our Top 10 Projects from the GIS and Web Department, take a look back at the Volunteer Engagements that made a difference this year, and, in celebration of our upcoming 25th Anniversary, enjoy a special throwback montage video featuring some unforgettable moments!

One standout success story for this month is Aaron Torres - he found his way to Hopeworks during a difficult time in his life.

"I was working in a warehouse with limited hours and felt unfulfilled," he recalls. I knew I wanted to make a significant change for my future."

During his time with Hopeworks, Aaron has gained invaluable technical skills, including certifications in cybersecurity, AI Essentials, and IT Support through Hopeworks' partnership with Google Coursera.

"Being surrounded by like-minded individuals has significantly improved my social skills and enriched my experience.”

Aaron was recently hired as a Contact Representative by the IRS and is well on his way to enjoying a successful career!
