February Wins! Hopeworks Young Adults Are Thriving in New Careers

February has been a month of incredible achievements for Hopeworks young professionals and alumni! We’re thrilled to celebrate the successes of:

  • Leslie, Hopeworks intern, who has joined the team as our new Training Room Lead, helping guide the next generation of talent.
  • Na’im, who recently secured a job at Truist Bank, one of our valued partners.
  • Corey, who successfully completed the Medical Assistant program and is now working full-time at Thomas Jefferson Hospital.
  • Ali Dejesus, who just finished her final MA exams, taking the next big step in her healthcare career.
  • Angel Rivera, another Hopeworks intern, who has joined our web team as a Web Project Specialist!

Amidst these incredible achievements, we’re also shining a spotlight on Michael Nguyen, a talented young adult whose journey is a testament to growth and perseverance.

Michael initially came to Hopeworks looking for a fresh start after working in coffee shops and other retail stores. Encouraged by friends, he took a chance on himself and discovered a world of new opportunities.

"Hopeworks gave me the space to connect and see that more was within my reach than I had ever thought possible. I’ve met incredible mentors and built a network of support that I now get to pay forward."

One of Michael’s most unforgettable experiences? Representing Hopeworks at NY Climate Week with Dell, showcasing an innovative project alongside peers. Looking ahead, his dream is simple yet profound: “To lead a good life, build a stable career that I enjoy, and invest in myself and others.”

Michael’s journey, along with the many accomplishments of our community, is proof that with support, determination, and the right opportunities, success is within reach!
