June Job Wins: From Grit to Greatness

Christian Marra is now on the front lines of care as an Emergency Medical Technician with Virtua Health. With rigorous training under his belt and a passion for helping others, Christian is prepared to make a life-saving impact every day. His commitment to service and learning has truly paid off.

Samuel Brown came to Hopeworks determined to grow, and grow he did! With a strong work ethic and a hunger to succeed, Samuel built the skills and experience needed to level up. Now, he’s stepping into a new role with a globally recognized brand, Coca-Cola. The best part? He’s just getting started.

And then there’s Arianna McWhite whose journey shows just how transformative resilience and the right support can be.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in the South, Arianna experienced deep challenges during her teenage years, including time in foster care. At just 16, she made the courageous decision to return to Philly alone, and found herself navigating homelessness while trying to build a stable future.

That future started to take shape thanks to a visit from a local Councilwoman, who connected Arianna with Hopeworks. From there, everything began to change.

With the help of the Hopeworks team, Arianna secured stable housing and built the professional and personal skills she needed to thrive. She’s now working full-time and stepping confidently into a life she once thought was out of reach.

“I never imagined I could have a life like this,” Arianna says. “Hopeworks helped me secure housing and develop skills that are essential in my new job. This has been a truly life-changing experience.”

June was proof that growth, opportunity, and community support are a powerful combo.
