CAMDEN – Angel Serrano recalls the candid comment from a corporate manager after conducting a mock interview at a Hopeworks HOPE Summit, which offers career guidance for young people.
“Wow, that was impressive,” the manager said of the young person just encountered.
Serrano, senior director of development for the nonprofit Hopeworks, told TAPinto Camden in an interview that hundreds of 17-to-30-year-old area residents seeking guidance and advice on their careers will get a similar chance to impress next week at the Third Annual HOPE Summit on the Rutgers-Camden campus.
Registration by Thursday is required for the free March 12 event. Go to the HOPE Summit page here to register. The 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Summit will be held in Rutgers' Campus Center, 326 Penn Street in Camden. It is open to residents of South Jersey and the Philadelphia area, Serrano said.
