Hopeworks Expands Our Academic Team

As Hopeworks moves into our new space and works with more and more employers to place youth in permanent, high wage jobs, an increasing number of youth need additional academic support to take full advantage of these opportunities.

To meet this need, renowned Adult Basic Skills leader Carol Dann has joined Hopeworks, leading our efforts to make sure every youth has the high school credentials to participate in today’s growing economy in Camden.

With over 30 years as an educator and advocate in Camden, Carol is well-known for her expertise in helping youth achieve academic excellence. She has been recognized numerous times for her exceptional work in Camden, including the President’s Diversity Award from Camden City Council, an honorary Captain’s rank from the Camden County Police Department, and as a participant in the prestigious Lead New Jersey Program.

At Hopeworks, Carol will lead our efforts to make sure that every young person has the academic skills and high school credentials they need to take full advantage of the job opportunities offered by Hopeworks training and internships.
