At Hopeworks, young adults are engaging with AI to improve employment opportunities and drive generational change.
In a world increasingly influenced by AI, lack of exposure to and comfort with AI solutions can raise serious roadblocks in professional development. At Hopeworks, a nonprofit social enterprise, young adults gain paid, real-world training and job experience in AI-based web development, geographic information system (GIS) applications and revenue cycle management. “AI is the power tool of this generation,” says Dan Rhoton, chief executive officer at Hopeworks. “For young adults to compete successfully and outperform folks in the market, they need to know how to use it.” Supported by the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA, Hopeworks is leveraging AI-powered solutions, including software that has helped increase the number of mock interviews conducted by 80% and contributed to a 30% rise in starting salaries for participants utilizing the tool. “If we use AI well, there’s an opportunity to change lives in a permanent way,” Rhoton says.
